If you've followed my blog, you'e aware that I've been following the same pair of eagles for the past few years.  This is the pair that I call John & Sandy.

Over the past few weeks, Sandy has been sitting on the nest and John has stayed close by keeping an eye on things.

I’d suspected that they had a baby but wasn’t able to confirm this.

Well yesterday, I saw the baby for the first time!  It appears to be doing well.  It was moving around quite a bit and exercising his / her wings.

As I've mentioned several times before, I'm observing them from a few hundred yards away and letting my long zoom lens get me close.
