Welcome:

Greetings. My name is Jack Kosowsky and I live in New Jersey. I’ve been an avid photographer for nearly 25 years and now consider myself first and foremost a Bald Eagle photographer.

I'm fortunate to have several Bald Eagles that frequent the area where I live. During ‘Eagle Season’, which spans from October through April, I try to get out several times a week to photograph these incredible birds as they rest, fly and interact with each other.

Vital Stats:

Age 60 something. Married 20 years. Father of two incredible boys. Grandfather of two. After spending 30 + years in Corporate IT, I now work in the casino industry as a Table Games Supervisor. I’m counting the days until I retire!

Hobbies:

I feel that photography is much more than a hobby to me. It is part of my DNA and has helped define who I am as a person. After taking my own photos, my next favorite thing to do is to study the work of other photographers. I spend lot’s of time on Instagram and other photo websites looking at photos of all genres.

In recent years, I’ve developed a real appreciation for all types of art. I love to walk through an art gallery, big or small. It amazes me what some people can create and I’m incredibly envious of their talents.

I also love music with Bruce Springsteen being my favorite! Beyond Bruce, I listen to a lot of classic rock but my tastes also run to a multitude of musicians such as Lady Gaga, Elvis and Paul Simon.

Latest Projects:

I always seem to have a number of different projects ongoing. In addition to getting this website up and running, I am also working on a book that highlights some of the photos I’ve taken over the past 25 years.

Biggest Thrill:

Beyond seeing the accomplishments of my children as they grew from boys to successful men, my greatest thrill was to encounter a Grizzly Bear and her cub in the wild and just watch her for nearly an hour as they went about their business. Oh, and I did take a photo or two!

Accomplishments:

Featured in several Digital & Print Media outlets. Have had photos hang in a number of gallery shows including the Philadelphia Flower Show and in a Photography show in Grand Central Station. Featured on the cover of Photoshop User Magazine May 2023. Selected for an Award of Excellence by New Jersey Monthly magazine - December 2023.

Favorite Diversion:

To put my airpods in, pop open YouTube on my iPad and find great music videos to watch / listen to.

Personal Philosophy:

There’s beauty everywhere. You’ve just to take the time to see it.
